Politech is the oldest Internet resource devoted to politics and technology. Launched in 1994 by Declan McCullagh, the mailing list has chronicled the growing intersection of law, culture, technology, and politics. Since 2000, so has the Politech web site.

A Munich court of appeal upheld a lower court ruling, demanding that
German IT news service Heise Online remove a link to Slysoft.com, an
Antigua based company selling software enabling users to make copies of
copy-protected CDs and DVDs. Legal experts criticised the decision as
endangering press freedom.
