Politech is the oldest Internet resource devoted to politics and technology. Launched in 1994 by Declan McCullagh, the mailing list has chronicled the growing intersection of law, culture, technology, and politics. Since 2000, so has the Politech web site.
Republicans' election-year gambit: Targeting MySpace and social networking sites
I've placed a copy of the bill (backed by House Speaker Hastert, so it
probably stands a good chance of being enacted) here:

Note that contrary to the Subject: line of this post -- headlines can
only be so descriptive -- the bill targets much more than social
networking sites. It would cover Slashdot.org and blog sites that permit
comments, for starters.
