Politech is the oldest Internet resource devoted to politics and technology. Launched in 1994 by Declan McCullagh, the mailing list has chronicled the growing intersection of culture, technology, politics, and law. Since 2000, so has the Politech web site.
Recently the Independent Media Center of Seattle (there are many of them) was slapped with a gag order and subpoena courtesy of the FBI: http://www.politechbot.com/cgi-bin/politech.cgi?name=imc Now it's reportedly happened to the IMC of Ohio, over a short but rambling post that talked about "witless protection program if I were you so give my regards to the fucking bumbling idiots of the FBI."
