Subject: press release: windows1984.com launched
Date: Wed, 06 Nov 2002 14:33:44 -0500

In (late) 1995 Microsoft launched its Windows95 product to the tune of
the Rolling Stones' START ME UP.

Now a concerned "Oceanian" launches windows1984.com. The question is:
Will Microsoft SHUT ME DOWN?

The aim of this website is to draw attention to issues, particularly
those related to personal computer use, which threaten to bring us
closer to the dystopian nightmare of George Orwell's novel, 1984.
(hint: Palladium)

Unofficially, the site is in post-release beta, but so were the
Microsoft Windows products for over a decade.
